Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting for a Drivers mate for their laundry delivery and collections client based in Bonnyrigg on the outskirts of Edinburgh
This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate
Key duties of this Role
- Assisting an HGV Driver with Deliveries and collection of laundry to hotels
- Manual handing of cages and bags of linen
- Assisting with loading and unloading the vehicle
- You will also be involved in navigating, delivery paperwork and helping the driver with vehicle checks.
Shifts will be initially on a Monday – Friday basis with an 0400 start time. However, weekend shifts are available and you will be expected to rotate once permanent.
The ideal candidate will
- Be physically fit due to the manual aspect of the role
- Have previous experience in a similar role
- Live locally, or have their own transport due to the location of the work. This is not accessible by public transport due to the start time.
Rate of Pay
£10.50ph
£13.99ph Overtime
£13.99ph for Saturdays
£15.75ph for Sundays
This is PAYE and you will accrue holidays.
