Driver Hire London South East are currently seeking a multi drop Van Driver to work for one of the world’s leading fashion retail companies based in South East London. This position offers an immediate start for the right person.
Shift patterns:
You’ll be available to work between Monday to Sunday, working any 5 out of 7 days. Shift patterns as follows:
- Weekdays – 09:00am – 19:00pm; 12.15pm – 22.15pm or 16.15pm – 22.15pm
- Weekends – 09:00am – 19:00pm or 12.15pm – 18.15pm
Initially, you will work to support the Summer peak sale for 6-8 weeks, however there may be further opportunities thereafter depending on your performance (many of our candidates have gone on to work permanently for this customer in previous years).
The role:
You will be responsible for the multi drop delivery of high-end fashion items, including garments and accessories, to the homes of online shoppers, based in London and surrounding home counties. Your role is pivotal to this online retailer’s brand – you are a company ambassador and will be eager to deliver a fantastic, friendly and positive customer experience!
Not only will you play a part in our clients’ success, you will look the part too! You will be smart in appearance and are required to wear a full black uniform (essential) which includes black trousers, black sleeve shirt, tie and black plain jacket.
Pay:
The role offers £13.40 per hour inclusive of holiday pay, paid weekly.
Successful candidates will:
- Have held a UK driving licence for a minimum 2 years
- Driving related references must be available
- Have no more than 6 penalty points for minor offences (no DR, DD or insurance related offences)
- Be flexible and able to work any of the 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays)
- Able to attend an induction to learn more about this fantastic company before commencing your deliveries
If you are an experienced Van Delivery Driver, this would be highly advantageous, however due to the nature of the role, applicants with a retail background with minimum two years driving-related experience will be considered (e.g. as a retail assistant or sales assistant) as strong customer service skills will be integral to your success at this fab company. This role is commutable from London, Greenwich, and Charlton.
