Our client, a manufacturer and supplier within the engineering sector, is looking for a Group Compliance Manager on a permanent basis.

Based out of Braintree, the role will require the new starter to manage the overall Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety throughout the site.

Reporting to directors, your daily duties will involve (but are not limited to):

  • The responsibility of H&S and Compliance across the company – this includes toolbox talks, Risk Assessments etc.
  • The responsibility of  leading the H&S Committee meetings – this includes the agenda and minute taking.
  • The responsibility of maintaining.
  • Completion of monthly report for Directors as and when requested.
  • Attending various meetings as and when required – including SHIFT meeting based in the Midlands 3-4 times a year.
  • Ensure all laws and regulations are adhered to on site – such reviewing PPE and implementing improvements for areas to develop.
  • Complete audits.
  • Arrange various services via external providers – including annual occupational health checks, training etc.
  • Complete inductions for new starters.
  • Review, investigate and report any accidents or near miss incidents.

The ideal candidate will offer the following skills and qualifications:

  • Ideally, Lead or internal audit certification in ISO9001 :2015, ISO14001 :2015 and OHSAS18001/ISO45001
  • Management or Supervisory Training
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Ideally, 5+ years’ experience working within a Health & Safety Role and/or a Quality Assurance Role.

Working hours:

Mon – Fri , 8.30am – 5.00pm

20-minute break 9.55am – 10.15am (paid)

30-minute break 12.30pm – 1.00pm (unpaid)


£35,000 – £42,000 dependant on qualifications and experience, with review in 13 weeks and next formal review in 12 months.
