Driver Hire Northampton are currently seeking experienced Class 1 Drivers for one of their dedicated client based in Northampton.
The client we are currently hiring for are a Water Recycling business; they are all about recycling and making the most of the waste that our processes produce. Not only do they transport the by-products of our processes around the region to treatment centres, but they then sell on the end fertiliser product to farmers. They also protect the environment by playing a huge role in helping to minimise the risk of flooding and pollution by proactively jetting our sewers and drains to both prevent and clear blockages.
As a driver, you will work to a schedule to ensure the safe transportation of liquid sludge between our source works and treatment centres. You’ll be responsible for updating the controlling team with potential Health and Safety issues whilst also ensuring you keep accurate reports of your driving hours and work completed.
This opportunity will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate. As a temporary to permanent opportunity, you will initially join Driver Hire Northampton and be paid on a weekly basis. Upon successful completion of your temporary period, you would then transfer to the company as a permanent employee
You will be on an hourly rate of £11.67 per hour for the first 37.5 hrs worked.
You will then receive a rate of £14.87 per hour any hours worked over 37.5 hrs.
Once you are taken on permanently by the company, you will receive £178.91 monthly allowance!
You will be working on a rota, which will include some weekends.
This role requires you to be highly flexible with regards to working shift patterns including weekends and covering colleague’s sickness and annual leave along with an adaptable approach to working at our various sites across the region.
As a competent and experienced HGV 1 Driver, you will have a UK Cat C+E driver licence along with;
- Digital tacho card and full CPC
- No more than 6 points for minor offences
- An understanding of driver hours and regulations
