dhRecruitment Dundee are recruiting on behalf of their Dundee client for a Chef de Partie. This is a full time, ongoing position with good prospects of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Passionate about providing the highest quality of food at the best value, our customer is looking for someone who is passionate about their work in the kitchen.
You will be required to prepare and present a variety of dishes to the agreed specifications of the venue’s menu. You should be aware and compliant with allergen information, and be able to supervise and train other members of the team as required. You’ll be conscious of costs, ensuring that waste is minimised and productivity levels and attained. You’ll hold responsibility for maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues, ensuring that anything that crops us is reported and actioned in a timely fashion. Your passion with come to the fore when contributing to new dishes on the menu allowing your skills, knowledge and innovation to be utilised. All house rules and cook safe policies and procedures need to be adhered to at all times and you’ll be assisting the Chef Manager or Sous Chef on a daily basis.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Commis Chef, or previous experience as a Chef de Partie
- Good knowledge of classic food preparation, dishes and recepies
- Level 2 basic food hygiene certificate
- knowledge of HACCP process
Pay & Hours:
- Your working week will consist 5 days out of 7
- You will be required to work evenings and weekends
- 40 hours per week
- £21,500 per annum
