Driver Hire are currently looking to recruit 4 x 3.5T van drivers to work for a leading supplier of pharmaceutical goods based in Basingstoke. This position is on a Temp to Perm basis, meaning successful applicants will go on to become permanent employees of the company after a period of 12 weeks.
The typical duties of this role would include:
- Performing vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift
- Delivering/collecting – approx 12 to 20 sites per day.
Pay rates available whilst on Temp to Perm on Advanced PAYE model (inc holiday pay) – £11.21 per hour (£10ph PAYE + £1.21 holiday pay) minimum 8 hours per shift. Overtime paid after 45 hours worked in a week.
After 12 weeks, pay will increase to £11.75 per hour on a PAYE model. Guaranteed 45 hour week.
Working week is Monday to Friday full days + half day on Saturday. Starts approx. 7am
Successful applicants will be given van to take home and use for work purposes.
Successful candidates will have the following:
- A full and valid UK driving licence.
- No more than 6 points (minor offences only).
- Previous commercial driving experience.
- The ability to lift and carry various trade goods.
- Appropriate PPE (safety shoes & hi-viz).
