Driver Hire Edinburgh City is urgently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to support a variety of clients across Edinburgh and nearby areas.
Whether you’re looking for extra shifts, flexible ad hoc work, or ongoing opportunities, we have regular work available now with competitive rates and weekly pay.
🕒 The Role
- Completing daily vehicle checks before each shift
- Carrying out a mix of trunking and delivery work
- Transporting palletised goods between depots and distribution centres
- Local runs with occasional long-distance work
- Minimal manual handling involved
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Following all driving regulations and health & safety procedures
🕒 Flexible Working Patterns
- Shifts available around your availability
- Day, back, and occasional night shifts available
- Weekday and weekend work on offer
- Typical shifts between 8–12 hours
💰 Great Rates of Pay
PAYE
- £15.50 per hour
- £20.66 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
- £17.37 per hour
- £23.15 per hour after 8 hours
✅ Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
✅ Weekly pay
✅ Overtime opportunities available
✅ Holiday pay included in PAYE Advanced rate
✅ What You’ll Need
- Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
- Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points (no major endorsements)
- Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience
- Professional, reliable, and safety-focused attitude
