Driver Hire Winchester is recruiting for experienced and newly qualified 7.5T Driver to join a well-established company within the furniture industry. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for long-term, full-time work with the chance to secure a permanent position after 12 weeks.
You will be delivering furniture to residential properties across the South Coast alongside a driver’s mate, assisting with unloading and assembly where required.
The Role:
- Driving a 7.5T vehicle
- Monday to Friday
- Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- 12-week temp to perm opportunity
- No weekend work
- Delivering home furniture to residential properties
- Heavy lifting and manual handling involved
- Assisting with furniture assembly at delivery locations
- Working with a driver’s mate for lifting and navigation support
What We’re Looking For:
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card
- No DD or DR endorsements
- Own transport to commute to and from work
- Newly qualified HGV drivers welcome
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Good understanding of manual handling procedures
- Good local and South Coast area knowledge
