Job Title: Transit Driver (Clinical Waste Collection)
Location: Newtownabbey
Employment Type: Full-Time/ Temporary
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Working hours : Monday – Friday, 0700 – 1500
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Transit Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of clinical waste from hospitals, pharmacies, and other healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and transport clinical waste in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all documentation and waste transfer notes are completed accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and security of the vehicle at all times.
- Follow strict protocols for handling hazardous materials.
- Provide excellent customer service during collections and deliveries.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (with no more than [X] penalty points).
- Previous experience in a driving role (experience with clinical waste is an advantage).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physically fit and able to handle waste containers safely.
