Class 2 (Cat C) Driver – Ongoing Work with Potential for Permanent Role | Edinburgh
📍 Location: Edinburgh
🕒 Start Times: 7am starts, Monday–Friday, with optional weekend shifts
💰 Pay Rates:
• Mon–Fri: £14.50 PAYE / £16.25 PAYE Advanced
• Overtime (after 8 hrs): £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Saturday: £21.00 PAYE / £23.53 PAYE Advanced
• Sunday: £28.00 PAYE / £31.38 PAYE Advanced
✅ 8-hour minimum pay guarantee per shift
✅ Weekly pay + holiday accrual (unless using PAYE Advanced)
Driver Hire Edinburgh City are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Class 2 (Cat C) Driver to support one of our long-standing clients in Edinburgh.
This role provides ongoing work with a strong chance of extension or moving into a permanent position for the right individual. It’s an excellent fit for drivers seeking steady hours, competitive pay, and a friendly working environment.
🚚 Your Main Responsibilities:
• Driving a Class 2 vehicle to carry out multi-drop deliveries across Edinburgh and nearby areas
• Working with a driver’s mate to help with loading, unloading, and heavier deliveries
• Completing all drops safely, efficiently, and on time
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate delivery records
• Delivering excellent customer service at every stop
✅ Requirements:
• Valid UK Class 2 (Cat C) licence
• Driver CPC and Digi Tacho card
• No more than 9 penalty points (no DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Minimum of 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
