As part of a long-term commitment with one of the nation’s leading suppliers of building materials, we are currently assisting in their search for an experienced FLT counterbalance driver.
We are looking for someone with at least 1 year experience of operating a counterbalance forklift vehicle. An accredited licence is NOT necessary, as this business is willing to use someone who has obtained an in-house FLT licence elsewhere in the recent past.
Undertaking this role, means you would be responsible for:
- Loading & unloading vans & HGV vehicles in the yard
- Picking orders, both by hand & using the FLT
- Keeping both the yard & warehouse organised
- Ensuring health & safety guidelines are followed at all times
- Carrying out general warehousing duties both with & without the Forklift
This opportunity presents a very positive work-life balance, as all shifts are Monday to Friday, starting at 8am and finishing around 5pm each day. There will also be some overtime opportunities during busier periods.
This will be a temp to perm contract for the right applicant, allowing you to trial the job in its entirety before committing yourself to permanent work.
Ultimately, our client is looking for someone who is pro-active, reliable and able to use their own initiative to complete tasks, often independently.
