HGV Class 2 Driver – Flour Deliveries | Ad-Hoc Shifts
📍 Location: North Edinburgh
🕕 Start Time: 6:00 AM
💪 Role Type: Physically Active – Manual Handling Involved
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is looking for a Class 2 (Cat C) HGV Driver to support a respected flour distribution company, delivering to bakeries and wholesale customers across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
This ad-hoc role is perfect for experienced drivers who enjoy variety, flexibility, and regular local work — with the chance to pick up additional shifts across other Driver Hire contracts.
💰 Pay Rates:
Including Advanced Holiday Pay:

£15.69 per hour (basic)

£20.91 per hour (overtime)
With Holiday Pay Accrued Separately:

£14.00 per hour (basic)

£18.66 per hour (overtime)
🚚 Key Responsibilities:

Deliver flour and baking products to local bakeries and wholesale customers

Work alongside a driver’s mate to handle deliveries (manual lifting involved)

Perform daily vehicle checks and complete all delivery paperwork accurately

Maintain a professional, customer-focused attitude at all times

Follow road safety and company procedures throughout your shift
✅ Requirements:

Full HGV Class 2 (Cat C) licence (held for at least 12 months)

Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card

A good level of physical fitness – this is an active, hands-on role
