Skip Driver – £15.69 per hour | 12-Week Temp-to-Perm Opportunity
📍 Location: East Lothian
🗓 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 💷 Overtime: £20.91/hr
Driver Hire Edinburgh City is recruiting a motivated and reliable Skip Driver to join a well-established waste management and recycling company based in East Lothian.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver — but if you’re newly qualified with a great attitude and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you too.

🔧 Key Responsibilities:

Operate a Class 2 (Category C) skip lorry, collecting and delivering skips throughout East Lothian

Secure loads safely and ensure full compliance with road and site safety standards

Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately

Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly

Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
✅ Requirements:
Essential:
-
Full UK Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence
-
Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Desirable:
-
Previous skip driving or waste management experience

Good knowledge of the local area

Full-time, daytime shifts with early starts
