Dangerous Goods (Limited Quantities)

The transportation of Dangerous Goods is strictly controlled, based on internationally agreed criteria.

This is a vital ingredient in keeping our roads safe – but there are specific rules regarding the carriage of limited quantities (LQ) of certain goods, especially for the retail sector. Typically these rules cover small receptacles, packed in boxes or on shrink-wrapped trays. It’s important that any driver involved in the carriage of these goods has a full understanding of the rules.

This eLearning module takes approximately 30 minutes to complete and all training carried out is recorded. You will be provided with a detailed report, which demonstrates that you have a formal review process in place for your drivers.

The course includes:

  • Overview of the law on the transportation of dangerous goods
  • Packaging and labelling
  • ADR
  • Weights and identification

Course objectives

By the end of the session, learners will be able to demonstrate an awareness of the key principles with regards to carrying and identification of dangerous goods. The course will cover key regulations and the learner will be able to recognise identifying signage for different loads.
