Driver Hire’s Australian success story continues. After opening our first office in Perth earlier this year, we’re now expanding into Queensland. Rod Harlow, currently Sales Director for Driver Hire Training
, is moving to Australia to take up the position of State Director for Queensland. The new Brisbane office will open in December.
Commenting on the decision, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive Chris Chidley said: “Queensland is 3-4 times bigger than the UK with a population of 4.63m. We firmly believe there’s huge potential for Driver Hire and its future development there. Queensland has a buoyant and diverse economy which is predicted to grow at 4% next year. It’s expected to be Australia’s fastest growing state and there’s a clear opening for a quality specialist logistics recruiter. Driver Hire Australia will be taking full advantage of this opportunity.”
This latest news from Driver Hire Australia follows on from a recent trading update which announced that the Perth-based office has already passed £1m (AU$ 1.5m) turnover, is recruiting more staff and has moved to new, larger premises.
