Thumbs Up from Pudsey

Driver Hire offices in the Borders, Edinburgh, Fife, Grangemouth, Motherwell and Newcastle raised over £1,000 for the BBC's ‘Children in Need’ appeal. All these branches - which are owned by Wilson Gibb Management Services – asked every customer making a booking before 5.00pm on ‘Children in Need’ day to make a contribution to the BBC’s annual fundraiser.
Wilson Gibb Operations Manager Stevie Thompson commented "It was a great effort by all of our staff. But ultimately it was the bookings from our customers that triggered the donations. We must also thank Driver Hire Group Services who very kindly donated to our appeal making it one of the most successful to date".
The offices’ efforts meant that the televised fundraising marathon raised over £20 million by the end of the show for only the second time in its 29-year history.
