The Commercial Vehicle Show report

Driver Hire has enjoyed a busy time on its stand at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show. Understandably, with the deadline fast approaching, there were plenty of enquiries and a big focus on Driver CPC. We’ve now delivered 223,000 hours of training and trained nearly 32,000 drivers, making us an industry leader in the delivery of Driver CPC training. Visitors and passers by were asked for their opinions for our annual Driver CPC attitudes survey.
But it was also an opportunity to showcase new additions to Driver Hire’s suite of online e-services designed to make life easier for people at the sharp end of logistics operations. There was plenty of interest in our new ‘eFED’ online fuel efficient driving course and our new risk management dashboard. This hugely useful ‘at-a-glance’ tool will enable operators to monitor driver training, access online skills tests, track accident records and carry out regular online DVLA licence checks.
“As ever, it’s been great to be part of the CV Show,” says Driver Hire’s Chief Executive, Chris Chidley who was on the stand for all three days of the show. “We’ve made plenty of good contacts, renewed old friendships and had plenty of interest in every aspect of our business from recruitment through to training and our wide range of added value services.”
