Pounding the pedals raises charity cash
Drivers from High Wycombe and Aylesbury, their boss, Grant Maxwell, and his family, got on their bikes and raised £500 for the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Of course most of them are more used to clocking up the miles behind the wheel of a van or truck. But, along with thousands of others taking part in the annual BHF London to Brighton cycle ride, the 15-strong team collectively raised their heart rates to pedal the 54 miles from capital to coast.
“It was hard work on a really hot day,” says Grant. “We really enjoyed the ride and raising money for a good cause. The team will definitely be back next year.”
