Manjit Singh, owner of Driver Hire Enfield is Driver Hire's 'Franchisee of the Year'. He was presented with his award at the company's Winter Conference recently held in Manchester.
Manjit has owned Driver Hire Enfield for six highly successful years. In common with many businesses, growth stalled as the recession took hold in 2008/09. But this simply spurred him on to greater efforts. His business acumen and hard work has seen Driver Hire Enfield quadruple its turnover over the last three years, supplying drivers and other logistics staff to a good mix of local and national organisations.
“Manjit and his team at Enfield are a great example of what can be achieved through franchising,” says Driver Hire's Chief Executive, Chris Chidley. “Their overall business performance has been outstanding, with the office rarely out of our top three performers for the vast majority of 2012. They average around 60 shifts a day – this peaked at 90 during the Christmas rush.
Chris continues: “He's also fully involved in the network and is always a keen adopter of the many initiatives and new products we launch to assist franchisees. For instance the office has embraced Driver CPC and will be delivering over 400 hours of training during the current month. And Manjit is a great advocate for franchising; one of the people he introduced to us is now another of our top franchisees. For all these reasons, Manjit is a worthy winner of this year's 'Franchisee of the Year' award.”
Other award winners were: Driver Hire Twickenham ( New start of the Year), Oxford (Training Award), Croydon (Outstanding customer service) and London South East (Endeavour).
