Harlow heads Australian expansion

Driver Hire Australia is expanding its reach in Australia. Following the news that sales at its office in Perth, which opened earlier this year, are already well in excess of £1m (AU$1.5m), it’s opening a new office, based in Brisbane, which will cover Queensland.
“Queensland has a diverse and buoyant economy,” says Chris Chidley, Driver Hire’s Chief Executive. “It’s 3-4 times larger than the UK and there is considerable investment in the region, particularly in the resources sector.
The state has huge potential for Driver Hire and its future development in Australia.”
Heading the operation, will be Rod Harlow, who will take on the role of State Director for Queensland. Rod is currently Sales Director for Driver Hire Training and will be moving to Australia to begin work early in December.
“I’m looking forward to developing the Driver Hire business in Brisbane,” says Rod. “There are massive opportunities for a focused recruiter who can offer a first class, quality service. Our office is well placed to serve candidates and clients from north and south of the Brisbane River and other areas too. I’ve already set the scene with prospective customers and am looking forward to working with Dean Hewitt and his team in Perth on inter-state client opportunities.”
