Driver Hire has announced a major investment in its IT systems to further improve the service it provides to its customers, its candidates and its franchisees. Work is due to start in October and will be fully completed by July 2014.
The project’s major focus will be a total rewrite of Driver Hire’s unique dhOps system using current programming best practice. As well as future proofing the system it will enable further additions to be made to the system to accommodate new developments. It will also deliver web based time sheet completion, booking placements and invoice approvals as well as a single common database for all customers, candidates and office staff.
To accommodate the project Driver Hire’s IT Development department will be restructured with an expansion of the Development team.
Commenting on this exciting and important investment, Jeremy Neale, Driver Hire’s IT & Quality Director said: “The systems this project will deliver will provide real value to everyone in our business – but most importantly to our franchisees and to our customers. It’s a further example of the confidence LDC, our equity investment partners, have in the long-term potential of the Driver Hire business.”
