Logistics firm Palletways boosted its business further by securing an extension on a contract with gardening products company Hozelock.
The contract extends the partnership between the two Midlands-based companies, which has now lasted for 13 years.
Serving as Europe's fastest and largest delivery for palletised freight, Palletways will be under contract to transport and distribute Hozelock's products across the UK, Ireland and Europe.
According to logisticsmanager.com, the deal will cover around 24,000 pallets distributed around Britain, meaning that there could be a possibility of the company looking into hiring drivers to cope with the demand.
Cited by mhwmagazine.co.uk, Michelle Naylor, general manager a Palletways, said that the contract came at the right time in the company's calender and that business should continue to grow.
"Over the years we have built a strong relationship with Hozelock and we are looking to develop this relationship even further over the coming year as we plan to provide extra support during the spring bank holidays," she said.
Talking on behalf of Hozelock was Group Supply Chain Director Terry Bennett, who also spoke of the timing of the contract, being agreed in a busy period for both parties.
Mr Bennett said: "Palletways provides us with the level of flexibility required to meet the demand within the market place, especially during peak seasons such as spring, summer and bank holidays."
