A brand new logistics event is set to take place in Doncaster this September.
Totally Logistics North, which will feature exhibitions and presentations from 40 of the biggest logistics companies in the UK, will take place at Doncaster Racecourse on 28th and 29th September 2011.
The event is designed to allow logistics workers and those with commercial driving jobs to meet face-to-face with senior supply chain professionals and managers of logistics systems.
Totally Logistics North aims to include individuals from all aspects of the logistics industry, with places already secured for telematics, freight forwarding, warehousing and training companies, among others.
The event was conceived and organised by Richard Milbourn, founding partner of Logistics Manager Magazine who told mhwmagazine.com that he chose Doncaster because it was a "hive of activity."
"But," he added, "one of the key motivating factors to the success of the launch is that the exhibition is being held in one of the best state-of-the-art exhibition and conference facilities in the North of England, a region that has been overlooked in recent times."
A press release printed on totallylogistics.co.uk added, "It will be a one stop shop that will enable logistics professionals to evaluate their total supply chain functions at one event thereby eliminating the costly and time-consuming need to visit other events."
