Bibby Distribution has secured a contract extension with Halo foods for a further three years, analytiqa.com reports.
Halo Foods, a sister company of Honey Monster Foods, has renewed its contract with Bibby to distribute goods from its manufacturing plants in Newport and Tywyn to stores around the UK.
The agreement comes in addition to a deal that saw Bibby handle logistics for associated firms HM Foods and Fox's confectionery.
In light of the increased work, Bibby is building a warehouse in Southall, Middlesex to complement its current portfolio of facilities in Leicester, Newport and Tywyn. It may also look to creating driving jobs to cope with the heightened demand.
In addition to management and planning of the logistics system through routing, scheduling and communications, Bibby is also set to handle more than 180,000 pallets.
Speaking to logisticsmanager.com of the new deal, divisional logistics manager for the Halo Foods Group Nick Abbott explained: "The size and scale of activities we have handed to Bibby demand sophisticated and precise reporting which the team have taken in their stride and delivered from day one without incurring any interruptions in service.
"We have no doubt that our joint expertise will push the boundaries of our business and uncover significant operational efficiencies."
