The first people to achieve Qualified Franchise Professional (QFP) status have been announced by the British Franchise Association (BFA).
According to Inspiresme.co.uk's Jamie Lawrence, those who have been awarded the qualification have demonstrated "professional knowledge and experience" within the UK's best franchise opportunities.
Lawrence added that the professionals represent a range of industries but that what they all have in common is their dedication to "ethical" franchising.
QFP will now be opened to all directors, managers and staff throughout the franchising industry, reportedly giving them the chance to obtain a "valuable tool" to boost their skill set.
A spokesperson for the BFA, Andrew Quail, expressed how happy he was to announce the first band of qualified professionals. He also said: "It is a testament to their hard work and commitment to ethical franchising, something which the BFA is constantly striving to uphold.
"We firmly believe that the QFP will form an important step in the evolution of the franchising sector over the coming years, offering people a tangible way of representing their adherence to ethical practices."
Quail concluded on BFA.com: The achievements of this firs group are something for the industry and us as an organisation to be proud of."
