Royal Logistic Corps update
20 July 2015
Back in June we were invited to two great opportunities organised by the Royal Logistic Corps.
The first took place on Saturday 13th June at their Bootle training facility. This provided us with the chance to spend some time with the Army Reserve regiment and to truly appreciate what the soldiers get up to when involved with the Army. It was an excellent opportunity and we looked at the transferable skills learnt, from warehouse operations management to Hyster fork lift and driver training.
The second invite, which took place on the 16th June, was to present Driver Hire’s career opportunities, developed alongside the Royal Logistic Corps, to the Regiment. We then met with attending soldiers on a one to one basis to discuss in more detail how we can help them build a career with Driver Hire in the logistics industry.
It was a fantastic couple of days and further cements our commitment to develop a strong working relationship with 156 Regiment and the wider RLC. Our aim is to provide resettlement career opportunities, Driver CPC training and temporary employment opportunities for those interested in joining the Armed Forces as Reservists.
