Working with the Armed Forces
Top of page
Driver Hire has provided work opportunities to active and former members of the Armed Forces for many years. This has included temporary roles during leave periods and permanent work with key customers and in our own business for people coming to the end of a career in the Forces.
More recently, Driver Hire has established a close connection with the Royal Logistic Corps. We have also submitted an Armed Forces Corporate Covenant as a sign of our commitment to supporting the Armed Forces Community.
Working with the Corps and the new RLC Foundation, we aim to provide:
- Resettlement career opportunities through a dedicated scheme for Forces leavers
- Driver CPC training opportunities to help people in active service to increase their skills and employability in the civilian logistics sector
- Employment opportunities for people who are interested in joining the Armed Forces as Reservists
In the Liverpool area, we are developing a relationship with 156 Regiment and the signs are that this will be a valuable connection for Driver Hire and for members of the Armed Forces in the North West.
If you would like more information on Driver Hire's work with 156 Regiment or the Armed Forces in general, please contact the Liverpool office.
