Driver Hire Lincoln add a noble new recruit
Leading specialist recruitment company, Driver Hire Lincoln, are always looking to recruit the best drivers and other transport and logistics staff to supply on either a temporary or permanent basis to their many clients in the local area.
However, their most recent recruit certainly won’t be allowed behind the wheel of any type of vehicle. That’s because he’s one of the Baron’s recently on display around the city, as part of the Baron Trail, celebrating the 800th anniversary of Magna Carta.
“The Baron Trail has been an inspiring local attraction throughout the city,” says Sarah Matthews, owner of Driver Hire’s Lincoln office. “We felt it was important that the Barons stayed in Lincoln once the trail had finished, particularly as they were hand painted by local people. So we decided to put in a joint bid with our sister office in Grimsby, and were lucky enough to secure the Baron Teacher.”
Driver Hire Lincoln paid the princely sum of £5,500 for their Baron, money well spent in Sarah’s opinion. “The cash is going to support the work of the Trussell Trust, which runs foodbanks for needy people throughout the UK. It’s an excellent charity and we’re delighted to support it. And of course, whilst we can’t hire out the Baron for any driving work, he will be freely available to local schools and other organisations to help with their own fund-raising efforts.”
